I have fond & proud memories of my time in Williamsburg USA , all our chats of Séamus & Áine dancing for RTÉ with my Uncle Seán Murphy in Dublin in the late 1960s, and Séamus helping me along in life.
A powerful figure , strong presence in Dublin & worldwide dance , without doubt positively steering things toward the global movement it is today.

We were so very sorry to hear of the passing of one of life’s true gentlemen.

Since hearing the very sad news, I have been thinking of how grateful I am to both your parents for the support, encouragement, humour & care that they showed to all their dancers. We will be forever grateful to them for the opportunities they provided us and how they influenced our lives through passing on their love of dance and Irish culture.

I now marvel at their energy & willingness to bring us on trips abroad, to festivals, during our summer holidays. They provided lasting memories. Your parents were a dynamic pair & maybe some small comfort that they are reunited together again.

So very sorry to hear this news. Thinking of all the family. Mr & Mrs O'Shea were a huge part of my formative years. I absolutely totally enjoyed all my dancing days in the old wee hall in Clonsilla. Both Aine & Se will be sadly missed and their huge contribution to Irish Dance. RIP

I met Áine and Séanus in the early 70ies in Parnell Square where they ran an Irish Club.
Some years later they came to Inis Ealga to prepare for their teachers exams for Irish Dancing.
Together they brought Irish Dancing to an amazing level.

We were so saddened to hear of Seamus’s passing. He was such a kind and gentle individual who always had something encouraging to say to everyone.We have such fond memories of dancing in Navan and Scoil Oilibhéir with him and Mrs. O.

Since hanging up our dancing shoes, we have often thought of Mr. and Mrs. O’Se and everything they did for so many. Great friendships and opportunities were nutured thanks to Mr and Mrs O'Se.

May Seamus gentle soul rest in peace and be reunited with Mrs. O’Se.

Seamus or as he was known by many as 'Mr.O' was a calm and gentle man, who listened to and encouraged his dancers. He was a devoted father, husband and dance teacher. Rest in peace Seamus.
