I want to express my deepest sympathy to Geraldine and the family. I have many fond memories of the time I spent working with Seamus in Artane. He was one of lifes great characters and someone you could always trust and rely on. May he rest in peace.
Having only known Seamus only a couple of years my memories are of his support for his son Thomas on the sidelines at many matches and his immense pride and enjoyment mixing with the parents of the other lads.
May his family find consolation in the standing that Seamus is held in his local community.
Only hearing today of the very sad news. What a huge loss to Ger, Thomas & Petra & all Seamus's family. I have to say when ever i bumped into Seamus in Portumna he always had a smile & a big hello. You are in our thoughts & prayers x.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time, God Bless xx
I remember our school days in CBS Kells. As a Goalkeeper I will never forget your ferocious shot as the ball hitting my hands. It was either get out of the way or stay. Staying putt I had RED HANDS for the rest of the match. Though I have to say that I will always think of you as an absolute gentleman. Your best friend in school in those days was Vivian Hoey but the nice thing was that every one was your friend. I, Paul Smith, and the rest of the Kells lads always enjoyed playing against you and David Farrelly, P.J. Gillick, Aidan Ward and the rest of the Carnaross Team. We never beat ye but one thing was for sure we were all great friends. My Condolences to your wife Geraldine, Your beloved children, your Mam & Dad, Mary & Tom and all the families. Slan.
Seamus, you were a great husband, father, teacher and friend to many and not a bad footballer either. You are going to be sadly missed by a huge number of people. Sincere condolances to Ger and the children.
Seamus, you will be missed by all. Thanks for the friendship and all the wonderful laughs and memories from Maynooth. You will always be alive through those never ending tales. My deepest sympathy to Ger, Petra, Thomas and all the Reilly family that openly welcomed us during the college days. Watch over us my dear friend. Peggy
So sorry to hear of the passing of Seamus. Taken before his time. Our thoughts and sympathies are with you all in this sad time
Having known Seamus since our college days in Maynooth it is with great sadness I'm writing this condolence notice.

A fantastic character that was full of stories Seamus always was someone fun to have around and I thoroughly enjoyed his company.

He loved his sports and was a fierce competitor and even though I hadn't seen him in years this is devastating news.

Seamus the world is a sadder place without you.
