I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Seamus, may he rest in peace.
He was a gifted musician.
I remember putting on a concert in St. Marys school concert hall, where Seamus was the sole star. I was mesmerised by his tallent and always felt he was a much better musician than given credut for.

I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Seamus.
I lost track of him a long time ago, but I always had the highest of regard for him. Seamus was 'Mr. Rock n 'Roll' in a sometimes mundane 1970s/ 80s Midlands Ireland. He exuded an almost John Lennon like flair and he was a great Musician and Entertainer!
I first encountered him in the countryside while he was then living in Kilcavan / Clonaghadoo, Co. Offaly and he once kindly lent myself and a couple of friends his 12 string guitar to busk at the infamous 'Mardi Gras' street festival in Mountmellick, a million years ago now. We won an award but never hung around to collect it ?
I also coincidentally had the pleasure of bumping into you Fergus on a night out in Long Island, New York in the early 90s.
My sincerest sympathy and condolence to David, Seamus' son, Fergus and the extended Scully Family on your sad loss.
A bright light and charismatic energy has gone out too soon - Seamus won't be forgotten! Rest in peace with Christ+ Amen.

Seamus was the gentlest of men and will be missed by his many friends in Letterkenny.
I was lucky enough to have spent many times with him sharing his love of music and the people around him. He talked of his family most of all.
