Very sorry to just hear of Seamus’ passing. Condolences to all his family. Shem was an old school gentleman, generous and kind. Rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to the Kelly family on Seamus's death. He was a regular visitor to our family home regarding all things vintage and I had my first spin in what was a massive artic with him in the 1970's May he rest in peace.

I am Doreen Galligan’s son in law (married to Annemarie) and I just recently learned of Shem’s death … so sorry for your loss. Your daughter Niamh and her husband Cormac are very dear to us - we got to know them well during Cormac’s residency at the hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and we see still see them every time we return to Ireland. You have a wonderful family, and that is Shem’s legacy. God bless you!

My deepest sympathy to all of the Kelly family. I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret and Seamus on a few occasions while training as a nurse with Niamh, and I will always cherish those memories. I remember visiting the family home in Carlow, where I was met with such warmth and hospitality. Seamus was a truly kind and gentle soul, so welcoming.

I only got to meet Shem a couple of times, but that was enough to see the type of man he was. Full of character, wit and dignity, and these traits along with so many others live on in his gorgeous children. he seemed like a man very at peace with the life that he had built with his beautiful wife and loving family. He will be missed by all lucky enough to know him.
