I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Sean. Like a lot of people my fondest memories were in my childhood going in to his shop on the way to the old school. It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of my dear friend Sean. We were close friends for years in many aspects of life, from politics to prayer and many the great day that I spent in his company. Sean was a proud Abbeyfeale man, a huge ambassador for Abbeyfeale people both at home in his participation as county councillor and abroad in his work with Legion of Mary, sending of the newsletters and in his annual trip to London for the Abbeyfeale reunion.
You are now gone to your eternal reward.

So many happy memories of going into the shop to himself & Vera. He always greeted everyone with a smile & had a great sense of humour. He was a true gentlemen & did so much for Abbeyfeale. He achieved so much in his lifetime. He was so proud of his grandchildren. Sean was one of a kind. Will miss my visits to him. Reunited now with his beloved Vera. RIP Sean.

What a lovely gentleman. From first meeting Sean I felt like I'd known him for years. I used to love his shop and the personal touch he added to every purchase. A man who offered everyone a warm smile, which you couldn't help but return. I feel very grateful to have known this legend and part of Abbeyfeale history.
