In all my interactions with Seán he was always so kind and a very nice man and gave me childhood memories i will never forget as Santa. He left a mark on the current and future generations. Rip to Seán Casey and i send my condolences to his family in this tough time

Sincere Condolences to Seans family on his passing. I only got to know Sean in recent years and enjoyed every minute of his company which was all to brief.
I remember fondly the many many stories he told me of Innishowen and his early days in Kilkenny.

This is certainly a sad time for Kilkenny, they have lost a true gentleman. He certainly was the real deal when that red suit went on , the way he brought the Christmas cheer to us all , he had it all , the look , the Character & the way he made everyone feel special 🥰

Rest in Peace Sean, you were Kilkennys true Santa and no matter how grown up my children got they always felt you were the real deal. Many a Santa breakfast we had in the Kilkenny Cafe with you and we have so many photos with Santa in our home. Thank you for your wonderful kind ways and for having the true spirit of Christmas. Always a chat and a laugh as you flew around town on your scooter. God bless you Sean you will be truly missed.

He was the kindest,most wittiest & good humoured man you could meet as he whizzed around the city in latter years on his motorised scooter. He always had a kind word for the young & not so young. Today when the news broke about thisvwonderful man i shed a tear because i was looking at seanbgod bless him with our little s needs grandson and bothnofvthem smiling and a thought occurred god why wouldvyou take this beautiful man away on so many little people who he gave great joy happiness and xmas time too because kilkenny has lost a legend hevwasvd best and its seanscway or bye bye he was loved admired respected he wss an icon in kilkenny and believe you me ifvtheirs a way backnor a sign he will send us a message because sean hadva gift a very special gift a guft of love kindness courtesy i guarantee he will send us back a message he hadva smile could light up market cross several people stopped mevto day they were heartbroken he was our film star his scooter with the sign on the front was an inspiration to us all if he hadvgone for co co elections hedvwalk in i remember doing a chsrity soccer collection bout twenty yrs ago sean came along for a chat i made more money in that hour than ibdid the whole day he was so popular kilkenny is very sad to day indeed the little santa hut is gone but i thank you sean for what you have done for the good people of kilkenny god blessbyou i can look overvat the funeral home andvsay hello me oul friend pardon the pun

I will always remember Sean’s kindness, willingness to help others, his brilliant stories, his positive attitude, his love for all his family and his lust for life. He was a singular man and I am better for having known him. My most sincere condolences to his daughter Sandra who cared for him so lovingly, his sister Kitty, who I know was a rock, his bereft grandkids, his dear son Michael, and all the many relatives, neighbours and friends who loved and enjoyed Sean’s company and ebullience down through the years. I’ll always remember being in 44 Fatima on a Sunday morning and Sean arriving in his Kia to bring his sister Maura down town to do the weekly shop. He was one of the good ones. Larger than life and always wanting to help others - not to mention standing in for Santa Claus himself on so many occasions! Sean, may your gentle soul rest in peace. God bless and Godspeed. ♥️
