His gentle and lovely words of guidance and wisdom struck a chord with me and I was so thankful for having that brief but memorable encounter. I will forever remember Mr Cleary’s kindness to me both as a student in St Conaire’s and when I started to think about teaching as a profession. His mentorship when I was in 6th class was a formative experience for me for which I will be eternally grateful. Little did he know that giving me a 50p a week job distributing milk would inspire me to test myself outside my comfort zone which I continue to do to this day. Thank you Mr Cleary, May You Rest In Peace.
