Yvonne,I just heard today that Sean had passed away and I am truly shocked and saddened.My sincere condolences to you Yvonne and to Nicola,Evin and Deborah and to all the Dennehy family.
Peter often reminisced about his childhood and teenage years with Sean in Westside and their motorbike trip around France.Great memories. Again,my deepest sympathy to you all .Rest in peace Sean.

Even though our paths may have crossed many years ago, when seeing Sean in Douglas Court I always remembered fondly what an absolute gent he was and his passion for his beloved Leeds and more so his family. I was away last week so only heard yesterday evening that Sean had died. Sincere condolences to Yvonne and to all his friends and family; I had the pleasure of working with Sean in Bishopstown many years ago. A gentleman through and through whose family was his world. He was a fair and kind manager, he had as nice a way with his staff as he did with his customers. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Yvonne. I'm so sorry to hear of Sean's passing. Great memories of working with you and Sean in Dunnes Bishopstown in the 80s. I used to meet him every week in Douglas and he always had time for a chat regardless of how busy he was and I don’t think I ever heard him saying a bad word about anybody. You’ve lost a lovely kind and gentle person. I’m thinking about you all at this very sad & difficult time. May Sean rest in Peace.

Sincere condolences to the extended Dennehy family on the passing of a great man. Sean was the first manager I ever worked under, and I learned a lot from him that I try to emulate myself to this day. His passion and the standards he set were second to none, as well as having genuine empathy and care for his colleagues. Rest In Peace Sean.

Sean was a great man, I really enjoyed my time working with him in dunnes and am thoroughly sorry that I missed the funeral. He thought me a lot during my time working with him.

I’m so very sorry to hear of Sean’s passing. We’d occasionally bump into each other while walking the dogs around Curragh Woods. He was besotted with his two little jug terriers. A lovely man and an awful loss. May he RIP.

My sincere condolences to Seán’s family. I only knew Seán as a Dunnes customer in Douglas for many years. I was very saddened to see his photograph at the entrance to Dunnes Stores today. He was a gentleman and any time I had a few words with him, he always spoke about his ‘children’… he didn’t even know my name. He spoke about his son who was very talented in designing clothes and a daughter who travelled far away. I know the loss he will be to Dunnes Stores, so I can’t imagine the loss he will be to his family and friends.
