Sean Dunne exercised Solomon's wisdom when dealing with an issue that arose in 3rd year in relation to our son. We will always remember it. May he have 'a safe lodging, a holy rest and peace at the last' (Cardinal Newman).
Deeply saddened at Sean's passing. Condolences to Geraldine and his family. I had the privilege of knowing Sean as teacher, neighbour and most recently my son Thomas' third year Dean. He was brilliant with young people, always very decent and kind. RIP Sean, we miss you.

So shocked and saddened by Sean's sudden passing. Thinking of all the family. Heartfelt condolences.
I was very saddened to hear about Mr. Dunne's passing. I always remember him as one of the best teachers I had, always someone to trust. Tough, fair, smart, funny & a great example to us "unruly" young men. 31 years on I remember how engaging and comprehensive the lessons he taught in his classroom were & can still hear his coaching from the sidelines. He was always watchful & protective of us, wherever we were, while always making sure we behaved as 'Rock Men should!

My sincere condolences to his family .

My condolences to Sean Dunnes family. Our family is sad to hear of 'Mr Dunnes' death as he was a kind and fair dean to my two boys in Blackrock College. He had a deep understanding of and kindness towards unruly adolescent schoolboys. He is often mentioned fondly in our house. John, Sarah, Peter& Stephen O' Connor.
we are all shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden loss of Sean, our good friend and schoolmate.
All who played with Sean, or under his captaincy, in Templeogue College and elsewhere, knew they had in Sean, a courageous player of integrity, and a good, true, friend.

So desperately sad to learn of Sean’s untimely passing. He was a kind and caring teacher to all of us lucky enough to go through ‘Rock over the last few decades, and especially to those who benefited from his guidance and fairness as a dean in the college. My late father, Ciarán, always admired him as a colleague and friend on the academic staff and I know that all of us in the Class of ‘95 will feel his loss profoundly. Deepest sympathy to Sean’s wife Geraldine and his children whom he adored.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad and difficult time.
RIP Sean.

I am extremely sad to hear of Sean's sudden passing. I have know Sean for some decades. I first met him through the late Joe McGrath then as a neighbour on St Helen' Rd and more recently as dean of third when a friend's son, David Austin, was in that class.

I had a fall last week so unfortunately am unable to attend the reception, funeral mass or cremation.

I will keep him in my prayers.
