I am so saddened to hear of Sean's passing. I was a part of the Second Mondays writing group with him until I left it in 2017. I was consistently entertained by his stories both on and off the page. Even after I left the group, he would send me messages on Facebook trying to encourage me to get back into writing and re-join the group.

He was talented, encouraging and so insightful. He was truly the heart of Second Mondays.

My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace, Sean.

Sean was one of the founding members of the Second Mondays Writing group and was at the absolute heart of the group until very recently. His own writing was superb and through it, we travelled to Estonia, Howth, Portmarnock Golf Club and a post-apocalyptic Fingal. But apart altogether from his own writing, Sean was a fountain of knowledge, encouragement and wisdom, always pushing us to believe in our writing and to keep working to make it the best it could possibly be. Month after month he turned up, first in the writers centre and then the teachers club and latterly on zoom (although I don't think he was a huge fan of zoom). He will be hugely missed by us all and there truly is nobody like him. May he rest in peace.
Devastated by the news. I was in Sean's Second Mondays group up till about 2015, but we'd been in touch last year when Covid hit about meeting up for a drink when the pandemic was all over. I was speaking to my partner about this only last week and looking forward to it. He was a character, full of enthusiasm and great ideas, and just great fun to be around. RIP Sean, you'll be sorely missed.
I was in the Second Mondays writing group with Sean since 2019. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a lovely, intelligent man and a very talented writer, with a book recommendation to help us out of any corner we had written ourselves into. My deepest condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Sean was my Ambassador on my first posting to Estonia and though we lost touch in the intervening years, it was a very formative experience. I will always remember his sense of humour and wry asides.
