I am so shocked to have just read the death notice of Sean, I have great memories of him and all the Grant family.I last spoke with him in Athlone on another sad occasion,we had a lengthy chat.My deepest sympathy to you Mary and all the family, especially also to his remaining sisters Maighread and Mary.May he rest in peace.

Liam, you always speak so highly of Séan. I know how much he meant to you and my heart hurts for you at this terrible time. When I heard the sad news, the first image that came to me was of Sean having to put up with yourself and Rita roaring Total Eclipse of the Heart at him around the kitchen table! I hope ye take comfort in the stories ye hear about him over the coming days and the memories ye made with him.

What a wonderful legacy he leaves in his children and grandchildren; I've no doubt ye will continue to do him proud.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sean's death. He was a huge figure in our family and I smile when I remember our many get togethers over the years, especially when he visited our mother, Sue, in Portmarnock. She enjoyed his visits so much! My thoughts are with you all over these days.
