Deirdre, I am so sorry to hear about the sad passing of your dad. Please accept my sincere condolences. RIP.
It has taken me some time to write this condolence. My sincere sympathy to Breda, Conor, Mary and all of the family. Doneraile has lost one of its finest gentlemen. Sean had a word for everyone and such a lovely sense of humour! He had a quiet but comforting way about him, something we as a family experienced first hand on the deaths of our Mum and Dad. You couldn't get the send off you deserved Sean but you know now how much you were thought of and appreciated. Pattie Lysaght and Tom Walsh will have had a very special welcome for you! May you rest in peace Sean....you will be so missed.

It is with great sadness we learned of Sean's passing, a gentleman we had the pleasure of meeting on many occasions over the years in Doneraile and further afield, including during the caring and professional organising of the funeral of our beloved dad, Jimmy in 1988. I'm so sorry for all of you and indeed for all of us! Seany was one of the great gentlemen of Doneraile - he was a kind and lovely man and I will be one of the many many people who mourn his passing and am gutted we couldn't give Seany Hannon a proper send off as he has done for all our families - in my families case 2 generations! Heaven has received one of our finest. Rest in Peace Seany!

My Dad Tommy Dunne spoke fondly of him having played hurling on opposite sides but always friends loved to meet and chat about those good old days, many years ago now.
