Many condolences to all the family. If circumstances were different, we would most certainly be there to celebrate Sean's life. He was a much loved uncle to us. He always welcomed us so warmly when we would spend holidays in Dublin as children and teenagers. Ever a man with a witty crack to reflect how he saw what was happening around him in his own unique way. He will be much missed by us in England. It is comforting to know that his love for Betty will go on. RIP Sean.

My deepest sympathies to Rowena, Robert, John, and all of Sean's extended family at the sad news of Sean's passing away. I have been abroad a lot so my memories of uncle Sean are mostly from decades ago. Then, Sean's creative intelligence, decency and character were an important role model to me when I was growing up. Sean's creativity allowed him to excel at interior design. At one stage, as a young man, he worked as a designer at Ardmore Film studios in Bray. Impressed Americans offered him a job opportunity as a designer in Hollywood, but he declined to go. Later in life, Sean suffered a bad injury to his heel and ankle which left him in pain for the rest of his life. He showed great resilience in coping with that. Furthermore, he was a great, decent family man. Sean will be missed. May he Rest in Peace.
