To a wonderful principal and friend when I told you about the Patrician Brothers what they did to me in my school days you put your arms around me with shock. Please God you and I will meet again in Heaven. May he rest in peace amen. Hughie Walsh Mervue.
It is with great sadness, that I learnt of your death Sean.Thank you for all that help you gave as colleague at
Fr Griffin Road, Technical School. Thank you also for that five pounds you lent me fifty years ago, during an
inservice course in Dublin. I often worry if I ever paid you back !!
Perhaps, now you will resume those violin lessons with the angles, you said you diliked so much,

Cuis broin dom sceala bhais Sheain, a raibh ard-mheas agam air, mar chomhleachai i mo Phriomhoide Ghairmscoile. Duine deas seimh a bhi ann agus companach dilis. I measc na naomh agus na Naomh agus na n-Ollamh go raibh se.
goodbye to an old friend, to the Yaching Monthly magazines of 1938, to the Citroen to the apple mac to the printer that refused to print. A huge interest you showed for people and their interests,
meeting you for a chat in the golf club, each time telling me to be careful with your hand as I shake it.
I can only imagine that your students found you to be a Gentleman as you cared for them all. I spoke to many and they all regarded you in high esteem and whilst I was not a student of yours but a blow into town, you welcomed me with many stories, all interesting all funny but always kind.
So you can now sail that Galway Hooker you wanted to, up in Heaven, Rest in peace, I hope to met again.
God Bless for now,
Aidan
