My deepest condolences to Sean’s family, brother Austin, sister in law Christine, nephew Phelim, nieces, wider family, friends and neighbours on his passing.
I am still trying to come to terms with Sean’s loss. He often spoke about receiving his gold watch from the President and I had no reason to doubt him (we were both wrong Sean, you’d have received a Centenarian Bounty from which you could have bought a gold pocket watch!).
Sean was the first neighbour I befriended on Jamestown Rd seven years ago. We had a lot in common and quickly became friends sharing interests such as gardening to vegetable growing, our love of antiques, music and dancing, amongst more.
Throughout Covid when I returned home from work I popped in regularly to visit by the open fire before going home next door. We broke the odd Covid rule, celebrated life and enjoyed many conservations about olden times and new.
Sean was a stalwart member of the community. I am so saddened to have heard of his passing. And I’m sorry I could not attend his funeral as I heard too late.
I think and pray for Sean regularly as I dearly miss him.
Rest in Peace Sean. I will never forget you.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Sean. We won’t forget his kindness and how welcoming he was when we first moved to Jamestown road.
Seán was a great neighbour to us for the last 20 years on Jamestown Road. He always had expert knowledge of the garden and a secret supply of treats for our dog Bainne who was very fond of him.
