Sincerest sympathy to William. I worked with Sean in Wicklow Co Council. As a structural engineer his contribution to all aspects of bridge strengthening and design in Wicklow was immense. Sean was a thorough gentleman admired and respected by all his colleagues
Dear William,
I was saddened to learn of the death of your father.
Seán came to Wicklow County Council in the 1980s and we worked together on and off until his retirement.
He was always the person to go to for advice on structural engineering problems and gave willingly of his expertise. He was steadfast and reliable as a colleague; as reliable as the many structures he designed. The bridges Seán designed and the many bridges upgraded under his supervision will outlast us all. He carried in his head details of bridges all over the county from Bray to Carnew, Arklow to Blessington.
As a person he was very congenial and we got on well together and I greatly valued his help on many projects.
Please accept my condolences on the loss of a true gentleman.
May he rest in peace.

I worked with Sean in Wicklow Co Co. I found him to be a thorough gentleman. When there were retirements, resignations, or presentations of any kind, Sean always attended & I respected the way he would leave early for his drive to Kilmacud.
I remember Sean in Wicklow County Council as a thorough gentleman with a huge knowledge of bridge design and construction. My sympathy to his son and family. May he rest in peace.
I remember Sean well. I shared an office with him in Wicklow County Council in the early 1990s for two years. I went to work elsewhere in late 1990s and by the time I returned to Wicklow Sean was gone and I never met him again.
Sean had a gentle but determined spirit, meticulous in his work. May he rest in Peace.

I remember Sean as young boy living in Delvin in his house beside the moat. I remember all the good toys his mother got him. He was a model boy. I often wondered where he settled. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
