The first time that I met Sean was at a Healy dinner in Canada. When the meal was finished, we retired to the living room. Sean said something like “OK let’s sing, who has a song?” The room was a little uncomfortable. I don’t remember for certain who said it, but I think it was me. “We don’t do that.” Sean looking puzzled and replied with something like “Well what do you do then?” I replied, “I’m not sure, but singing isn’t one of them” Of course he sang. We loved it. Later that evening he got into a “debate” with Tony Healy about who was raised poorer. Sean was my first introduction into the warm, loving, often lively lifestyle of our Irish family. I will miss Sean and my heart goes out to Miriam and all the family. ox
