Lough Gur Amateur Dramatic Society would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Sean MacNamara. Sean was one of a kind - a gentleman and historian who was interested in so many things and always willing to share his profound knowledge. He graced the stage of the Honey Fitz theatre as a member of the Dramatic Society for many years - but will perhaps be best remembered in our drama group for his portrayal of Fr. Jack in Brian Friels Dancing at Lughnasa which was produced by the late John McGrath. His unique talent was ideal for this role which drew appreciation from the numerous audiences who witnessed it. He will be sorely missed and his like will not be seen again. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

No words or tributes can even come near justifying a tribute to Sean. A true colossus of a man in so many ways. A man of many talents - and a master of them all. And even at that - Sean still had more.
