Comhbhrón ó chroí, to all Norman family on Seán's sad passing. One of life's true gentleman, we never met without sharing a few jokes. Through the rhythm of his Ceili Band Seán brought much joy and contentment to dancers far beyond his native shore. His interval lilting at Fheoil Cheoil na h-Éireann was magical. Deepest sympathy for the Norman family. I was so sad when I learned of Sean's passing. He was an absolute gentleman - I feel so honoured to have known Sean, and enjoyed many great Trad sessions with him in Edenderry. He had a wonderful personality and was always in great form. He always had the crowds laughing when he was MC'ing the CCE sessions in Mullingar too.
Just looking through the long list of condolences here gives you an idea of how popular and inspirational he was. Sadly missed.

Condolences to the Norman family, I always enjoyed running into Sean whenever I was in Edenderry, I play the accordion, tin whistle for years and have fond memories of joining the Edenderry ceili band many years ago, we were brilliant to be honest and we did great in the Fleadh Cheoil, we should have won the All Ireland, we also did some touring during rag week to the colleges over 30 years ago. Sorry for your loss.
