Words seem totally inadequate to express the shock and grief associated with Sean's illness and sudden departure from this life.I had prayed for his healing but that wasn't to be. I was privileged to have known Sean and I thank God for that. I have wonderful memories of Sean's attention to his mother Eileen in Whyte's. She would light up with joy whenever Sean arrived. and would link her around gently. I enjoyed Sean's wit and humour but cherished most of all his sincerity and his friendship. May Sean be enfolded in God's eternal love as he reunites with his parents and all who have gone before him. May you Antoinette, Kate, Ross & children and the Carrick and O 'Grady families be comforted in your grief. I will join you for Sean's Mass on the webcam.

I am profoundly saddened at this great loss for myself and all who knew him. Sean was one of the first people I met in Ireland at Gertie’s and continued our friendship at Lukers. Always felt joy when seeing him. Each visit felt like no time had passed. His glee when talking about his grandchildren was infectious. It will take time for the sadness to subside.
