Sincete condolences to you Catherine, and to your daughter and Sean’s family. May he rest in peace.
Sincere sympathies to Katherine, Maev and the Ó Leanachain family on the passing of their beloved Seán. Seán was a larger than life figure around campus and his hearty laugh could be heard far and wide. His battle is over and may he rest in eternal peace.
Condolences to Catherine and Maev, sorry to hear of Sean's illness and recent passing. He was a loud bundle of joy to meet at the musical society, so warm, kind and witty.
May you rest in peace dear Seán. Thank you for your life lived to the full. My mom, Bridgeen, who left us way too soon had a fond memory of you as a wee boy. It was when she was back in Ireland and got a letter from her husband to be, Joe McCarthy, letting her know he was ill and in the hospital, probably a U.S. army hospital with hepatitus. You must have been nearby as she was walking and reading his letter silently. You quietly slipped your hand in hers and looked up with great concern. It was something she always treasured.

So sorry to hear of your passing, Seán. What a lively presence you were to cheer us on-campus. You'll be much missed. My best wishes to Katherine and Maev.
I've known Seán and Catherine for many years and especially after he retired! A truly decent man, with a booming voice and a wonderful sense of humour! I remember, during a past illness, how Seán would seek me out and offer his help and company when other former colleagues avoided me, not knowing what to say. More recently, I often ran into Catherine in the pharmacy where she updated me on Seán's deteriorating condition. She was such a dedicated carer! My deepest sympathies to Catherine, Maev and all Seán's family. May he rest in peace!

Sad to hear the news that Seán is no longer with us, though he is certainly there in spirit. It was always a pleasure to meet Seán, on or off the UCG/NUIG campus. Back in the day (IBM mainframe / Amstrad / DOS / early PC days; Seán, working in MIS & based in various places, incl. the Quad nr the Art Gallery), he was one of my go-to persons when I needed computing help. Seán invariably came up with a ‘fix’ and did so with a smile, and he invariably had time for a little chat - the human touch. My sympathies to Katherine and Maev, and his siblings and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis!

So sorry to hear of Seán's sad passing.
My sincere condolences to his wife, daughter & family. I knew him from the Wed night KST Bridge Club. There was always banter when himself & the late Jimmy Connolly came to the table. He liked to give the impression he didn't take the game too serious. Yet he always managed to hold on to that 'Trump Card' May he Rest in Peace.

Once met, never forgotten, Seán was witty, kind, straight talking and fun, voicing aloud what others mumbled in hushed tones! Seán's programming skills and workarounds kept the computer systems operating. Nothing understated about him – the strong Belfast accent (even while speaking French), the red scarf and the red car with his 'Mary Robinson for President' sticker. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.
