So sorry to hear of the death of another old neighbour from Maiden Street who was three years past the century: Many a time I watched fascinated at the door of the harness-makers shop as Sean, alongside his father, Johnnie, skilfully and patiently assembled and stitched sliothers, if not repairing saddles or collars for farm animals. Sean was always so welcoming - as indeed were all the O'Connells. Sincere condolences to Donal and other family members.
