Sean O'Donnell

Have just learned of Sean's death. My sympathies to his family. I worked with Sean in the County House where he was always congenial and interesting company. Suaimhneas síoraí le'n a hanam.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Sean. Sincere condolences to all his family. Sean was my childhood hero playing with Donegal. What a player !! I always tried to emulate my game on his but never came close. However, I had the pleasure and honour of playing with him in the late 60s culminating in winning the Junior Chamionship with Ranafast in 1979. May the lovely and brilliant Sean rest in peace.

So Sorry to hear of Sean's passing. A gentle Soul, many is the day we popped into to see him on the way back from Bel Cruit, he'd regale us with stories of his halcyon days, playing with Legends such as Charlie Gallagher (Cavan) & against Mick O'Connell (Kerry) in the Railway Cup. His memories of his own Father & the Stories & Poems were very special.to Sean. In later years, even when he shouldn't, he'd travel to the Viking, with the wonderful Ronan, to see us when we travelled up. May He Rest in Peace.
