So very sorry to hear of Sean’s passing. Sincere condolences to Attracta and family. He was a gentleman. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Sean when I was on relief staff many yrs ago but he was also a very good friend of Dads (Gerry Magee) and manys a story they told of each other - I’m sure there’ll be a big reunion up above.

I had the pleasure of having Sean as my boss in Eyre Square back in the 90's. A complete gent who took time to speak to everyone. Always looked after the young staff in the Branch and he would always leave a few pound behind the counter for us when we were on a night out. Great memories smoking in his office (when cigarettes were banned 🫣) while discussing fishing and occasionally doing a bit of work.
With age, I came to value some of the knowledge that Sean passed on to me during that time & I still quote some of his lines today.

Sean was a highly valued and firm friend for almosr sixty years. His death marks the end of an era full of companionship, fun, fishing and respectful argument.
