Seán O'Reardon

I feel blessed to have had Mr. O'Reardon for maths and 'theology' in the mid 1990s. I still recall often influential words and thoughts he shared during these formative years. Sincere condolences to the O'Reardon family.

Mr O'Reardon was my form teacher in St Aidan's. A calm, intelligent and kind man, and a great educator. He had great presence, and commanded total respect in the classroom, without ever having to raise his voice. He also had a very clever sense of humour. My sincere condolences to his family on your terrible loss.

Ah- A giant oak has fallen- but the acorns will carry on his noble heritage - At times we were the only souls on our knees in Carmelite Seapark pondering the mysteries we accepted without hesitation in our younger days - but now with the wisdom and vulnerability of old age that mixture caused us to still consider the wonder of it all. I am certain though that Seán has heard the words ‘ Well done thou good and faithful servant -take possession of the place prepared for you from the foundation of the world’ - Safely Home gentle soul !
