Sincerest condolences to Mary, Mick, John, Carmel and Cathal on the passing of your beloved husband and father. Sean was the epitome of soundness, a true gentleman and raconteur with that cheeky laugh and smile. I have so many fond memories of a youth spent with the O’Reillys at 71, learning how not to play pool and how to miss the dart board in the garage. Sean and Mary were always so welcoming to their children’s friends, took an interest and knew each of them well.
I will never forget their warmth, the card games, Sean giving it his all at charades on Christmas night. And the parties! Far superior and more exciting than any Oil Baron’s Ball to us kids in the 80s and 90s.
May you now rest in peace Sean, after a life well lived and a true legacy to be proud of.
— Ed Beausang and family

To Mary and the O'Reilly Family, my sincere condolences. Sean and I travelled on the same flight from Dublin to London in March 1963 when we both transferred to London where we worked, albeit in different departments, at Heathrow Airport. What a pleasure discussing mutual work problems with Sean, as there was no problem upsetting to him. After I left London, we met infrequently and he always had a jovial 'hello' and recollection of our time in London.

God bless you all

Dear Mary & all the O’Reilly family. Sincere sympathy following the, untimely passing of Sean R.I.P. My memories return to the 60’s when we all joined the company & resided in Drumcondra area where we socialised together. Sean’s “Morris Minor” was greatly appreciated for transporting us to some “out of town”, dancing venues, such as “Laurel Park”/Bray & “The Pavilion”/Skerries. Then came the move to London, where I visited the house in Feltham where he lived with the late John Hartnett etc. Mary you will have a vivid memory of our trip to Sligo in 68 for the wedding of, the late,Paddy Reynolds & Rosemary, with the mishap on the bridge at Ballinalack, on our way there and our stop at the church in Boyle, for confessions on the return journey !! Your wedding, I think, followed a couple of days later ?! “Those were the days”. Dear Sean Rest in Peace.
