Rest in peace, dear friend.
To Seans family,
I can only echo the thoughts of everyone, except to say that as a young technician in the early 90s working alongside your dad, he was the most helpful and interesting man. He always gave me good advice and was very patient and kind. He always spoke very proudly of his children and always remained, in my mind anyway, a country man at heart. May he rest in peace.

I will hold him in my heart forever.

The two of them were never happier than when exploring local chronicles together in their beloved West Limerick. Seán was a scholar and a gentleman. May he rest in peace.
Very sorry to learn of the passing of Sean. I worked with him as an undergraduate in the NML 25 years ago and he was most helpful and engaged in the project we worked on. After joining the NML subsequently, I was always delighted to see Sean calling in for a chat over the last 15 years. He was always upbeat and will be fondly remembered by everyone as the epitome of a gentleman with the most inquisitive of minds. Rest in Peace Sean.
Sincere sympathies to Sean's family on the loss of your wonderful Dad and to his extended family. I worked with Sean in NML and he was a very kind friend to me. He spoke so much about you all, his cherished wife, Margaret and his children. I never heard him complain and he was always full of wisdom and loved to chat. I met him in October also and we had a lovely catch up in the Tolka. Again he told me about you all and the wonderful care he gave to his wife. I will miss Sean very much. Pauline

Dear Sinead, David and John,
I'm very sad at Sean's passing. I worked with him for 14 years and saw him for at least as many years again on his regular visits here and meetings-up with colleagues. In all that time I'm not sure I can recall him ever complaining about anything. He was a gentleman of the highest order and an example to all around him. I'm really sorry for your loss.

It was with great sadness I learnt of Sean's passing. A group of us who go walking or meet for a drink or coffee were always pleased to see Sean although less frequently of late due to his declining health. Sean was held in high regard due to his kindly disposition and his dedication to his family who were also a great support for him. May he rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Sean and my deepest sympathy to you all, Sinead, David and John. I have very find memories of Sean from when I was a student in DCU and it always felt like a second home anytime I visited which was often. You all made me feel like I was a part of the family. Sean was a very kind, gentle, intelligent and patient man. Nice to think he will be reunited with your mam.
Deepest Condolence to Sinead and extended Family .
I knew Sean well, when we were both working at the Institute for Industrial Research & Standards (IIRS).
I availed of his expertise in the area of calibration of measuring equipment, for project work. He was very knowledgeable in this area.
In recent years, after we both had retired, I met him several times, in Glasnevin.
I also met him at a gathering of old colleagues in Tolka House, as recent as last October.
I like to offer my condolence to his family, on his passing away. May he rest in peace.
