So glad that I met him and shared a wonderful meal with him and Mairead when John and I visited Ireland. I so enjoyed that he loved to cook and the meal he served showed that love. We had both been teachers and so shared stories. Our hearts hurts for Mairead and all the family. We hope many memories provide comfort for all at this painful time.

Sincere sympathy to the Reidy family on the passing of Sean. I got to know him as a young boy in Drimnagh Castle and he was an exceptional footballer. I had the privilege of meeting him a few times over the years at golf outings and in coffee shops. He was a true gentleman. He now has joined his mum and dad.

Every time I get together with my school friends he is spoken of fondly. We are all broken hearted to hear of his passing but we will continue to speak of him for many years to come. Sean was not only my uncle but also a great man. He had a brilliant sense of humour and could always make everyone around him laugh. His Christmas dinners and roast potatoes were legendary, and he always brought so much warmth and joy to every gathering we had over the years. He fought so bravely and will be deeply missed by everyone.

Seán was the best uncle one could every dream of having. He was a kind soul, and always made me feel welcome. He had a great sense of humor, always making a joke when ever we were together. Even in his last few months, we would exchange funny jokes via WhatsApp. Those jokes made my day.
Seán was the best cook I ever met. My brother Matías and I remember how one time he visited us in Chicago, he made some bolognese sauce. It was the best bolognese we ever had and we still talk about it to this day. Seán always was interested in what was happening in our lives, asking me how college was or what my plans were for the summer.
My thoughts are with you all in this time.

Very upset to hear of Sean's passing. The lovely condolences from his former pupils are testament to Sean's character. He was the gentlest and kindest man and a wonderful neighbour. He would have made a fantastic grandfather and I have no doubt there will be many warm and funny memories shared about her Grandad Sean to Alma when she's older.
