I'm so sorry to hear the sad news that Seán is no longer with us. Sean was part of my childhood and I've so many memories of great nights out with him singing and providing the entertainment (on- and off-stage!). He was such a lovely man. Ed, Maureen, and I got up early for the funeral and streamed it with our father, George. Ed and I watched from Pennsylvania, while Maureen and my father watched from Florida. We set up a Zoom so we could all be "together" as much as possible. David and Jenny's words touched our hearts and painted a beautiful picture of Uncle Seán. David, we appreciate you mentioning our father, George. Being away for the funeral was not easy for him, but he is so thankful he was able to spend time with Seán earlier this month. We stayed on the Zoom for a couple hours after the service and shared our favorite stories of Uncle Seán. We all shared a common memory of him taking us for a ride on the bread truck when we visited Ireland as children. He drove us around the Irish countryside while he made his bread deliveries. The smell of warm bread in our noses and Uncle Seán lauging, smiling, and entertaining us from the driver's seat. Later in life, Ed and I traveled Ireland with our rugby club. After a match against Portarlington, we went to the drink up at a place called "The Final Furlong." We walked in the pub, and Uncle Seán was there in the middle of the crowd performing with a warm fire nearby. I'll never forget it! I remember thinking to myself, "it doesn't get any better than this!" While we may not have gotten the quanity of time with Uncle Seán that our other cousins did, the time we did get was QUALITY! He will be missed dearly by all of us. RIP Uncle Seán. We love you!
