Sean Rowan

I first got to know Chicago Sean back in 1979 in Galway. He was a wild man then a drove a cool Anglia then that was very noisy. He had an apartment behind Hollywoods pub, in Forster Street, Galway then. Like many young men we enjoyed liquor and dating. Then for many years I lost touch with Chicago Sean and years later I happily reconnected with him and we would reminisce about the good old days. He had quit the liquor and become a God-fearing man who lived quietly . He was a proud Vietnam veteran who did his training in Camp Pembleton for the USA...I had hoped to meet up with him this Christmas but now I have heard he has died , I feel so sad about this , God Bless this brave USA Marine, Semper Fi...Chicago Sean....also in memory of Patrick Mary Nee, succumbed in Vietnam, 1969, aged 21 years, and son of Rosmuc, Connemara....Sean Flynn, aged 28 years disappeared Cambodia, April 1970. God Bless you all, gone but not forgotten, now in the Peaceful Garden

Just heard that Sean had passed away. We knew him as Chicago Sean.I knew him as a brave soldier in Quang Duc province in Vietnam 🇻🇳, when we listened for the Vietcong at night. I had hoped I would meet him again when I visited Ireland 🇮🇪...not that won't happen because I didn't you were ill. Sleep well buddy and I hope we meet again 💗
