I was a colleague of Sean in Italy at Molly Malone's Irish pub.
I hadn't heard from Sean for twenty years now, but when the news of his passing reached me, this morning, I was shocked! I still remember the years he spent here in Italy with affection: he was a true friend to me, so much so that we continued to write to each other for years after he returned to Ireland! I would like to extend my most sincere condolences to the whole family and especially to his sister who we had taken to the Alps! I sympathize with your pain and send you all a big hug. May Sean rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all the Ryan family on the sad passing of Sean. I met Sean 24 years ago when we moved with my mate Queco to South Circular's Road house where we spent an incredible year. Since that day we remained best friends, despite the distance between Dublin and Barcelona. We shared long conversations about music, films, books, his beloved Liverpool FC, Fawlty Towers and how to face challenges in life. I always needed to know his opinion, was very valuable to me. Sean was always there to offer you his support and that's priceless. I will really miss all the 2-3 hours calls we had on Saturday mornings. You left us too soon Sean and I will miss you every single day my friend. Rest in peace

So sorry to hear of Sean’s passing. He will be remembered for his friends from Barcelona. We shared some of the best memories of our lifes. He was a great man to talk to. We had hundreds of conversations about books, music, sports, Italy and many other things. He was funny and kind. A good lad, like he used to say. We had a great time together.
