Seán Walsh

Sean was a man of great vision and community spirt. I remember him starting a youth club in Cahir and of course Cahir Post. He leaves a great legacy. Rest in peace, Sean. My sympathy to your family. Ni bheidh a leithead aris ann.

I am sorry to hear of Seán’s passing. I have great memories of the art room in St. Ailbe’s, a brilliant art teacher that encouraged all his students to express themselves.

Tragic news to hear. I knew Sean from our clonmel high school days in the 50s, and we shared digs together when we both moved to Dublin around the early 60’s and always had great laughs along the way. He was a great artist, a very well-known musician and a brilliant friend. We shared some amazing memories together. The comments about him here reflect what a great character he was and how well he was thought of by those who knew him. Sincere condolences to Nuala and the family. My heartfelt sympathy to Nuala and family on your loss. So many great memories of Sean from the 70s when he taught us art in the prefabs, gave us space to be, allowed us opinions and left us squash into his car for lifts down town. The tributes to him are all warranted and he will be remembered with great fondness for his teaching, his artistic and musical talent but mostly for the gentleman that he was. May he rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear today of the passing of Seán. He was a wonderful man and a man of many talents in which he put to good use during his lifetime. He was so conscience and very professional in his work. I have fond memories of his work he did doing his own paper The Post and also playing music. He will be fondly remembered by everyone that knew him..
