I was deeply saddened to learn about the unexpected demise of Selina Bonnie. She was truly an exceptional individual, and I consider myself fortunate to have worked with her at SDCC for an extended period and gotten to know her. The warmth and hospitality she extended to me will forever remain in my memories.

We were very sad to hear of Selina's death. We linked with Selina in her role as Access Officer at South Dublin County Council. She was such a powerful and passionate advocate for disability rights. Our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Selina. Her loss is immense to the disabled community in Ireland, particularly the Independent Living Movement. Selina championed equality and diversity long before they were terms used in everyday life. Whenever I heard Selina's name associated with a project or campaign I knew that the rights of disabled people were at the heart of that work. She was simply, a supreme advocate.

I learnt a huge amount from Selina, and always looked forward to meeting her. We became friends over the years, and it was great to see her unbridled joy and pride at becoming a mother. I'm so sorry to hear of Selina's passing. Selina's contribution to improving equality and accessibility in public service has benefited so many people in South Dublin and beyond. She was a remarkable lady, and such great great company. We were long term partners in crime in fighting the equality fight in local government for so many years, and I was delighted to work with her again recently.
