My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Rita Michael John Rebecca and the extended Duddy and Grehan family on the passing of Sgt Michael (Mickey) Duddy. Throughout his long service Mickey was a loyal and dedicated member of the 6 Inf Bn and the Defence Forces, where he served with great pride and dedication. Micky was a highly respected soldier who gave exemplary service to Ireland both at home and with the UN on numerous overseas missions. Micky was a loving husband a proud father and a dedicated family man. He was a loyal comrade to his fellow soldiers and an absolute gentleman to all he met. It was an honour and a privilege to have known you Mickey and a pleasure to have served with you. Thank you for your service Mickey. “Stand Easy” now Sgt Michael (Mickey) Duddy . We your friends and comrades those retired and still serving will remember you with pride and fondness and miss you always. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace for eternity.
