My deepest sympathy to Shane’s family and friends. Shane took on a group of my Transition Year students for a science project a few years ago. He gave up his time generously and gave them valuable exposure to Third Level science. Shane patiently taught the students technical skills they later used in competitions. They were fascinated by his depth of knowledge and always came away from UCD inspired to learn more.
