I was so very sad to hear the news about Shane's passing. I got to know Shane, through Brian Kelly, about 30 years ago. He had such a kind and generous nature and always saw the funny side of things (even when we had terrible summer jobs as security guards in London!) My sincere condolence to Anita, Sean and Katie and all of Shane's family. I know this is a very difficult time for you all and that you are missing him terribly. My thoughts are with you all.

I was in UCD with Shane when we both studied Geography. He was great guy and always good for laugh. Really shocked to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences to his family.
