Shane - My buddy, I can barely write to you my friend...We had the best of times for the past 30 plus years together swimming and playing water polo from kids to adults all along the way in so many places. I'm so sad for the people whom you love and who love you will miss you terribly. I will let your children, wife and parents know that you were the most amazing man and friend anyone could ever wish to have in their life. I looked up to you as my close friend and smiled every time we came together and hugged with joy. I love you. G

Sincere condolence to Shane's wife Andrea and sons and family. Shane was a lovely man, kind, friendly, sincere, happy and cared about people. In his working life in Dominic's he was very well respected by customers and the community. He will be very sadly missed and a loose to the life of the parish. Prayers will be offered in St. Dominic's. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

What an amazing person, friend, athlete, team player and one of the all time water polo greats! You always led our polo team with drive, determination and respect. Shane you will command the ‘warrior and legend’ status of Irish Water Polo for several generations to come.

Shane was an inspiration to everyone he met. Lived life to the absolute full and a really caring and lovely person. Have so many great memories over the years - loving battling with you and hating battling against you.....so so sad....RIP
