To Shane's family & all who loved him, my sincere condolences.
I'm so sad that Shane has gone.
I met Shane in Galway, as were both having our treatment at the same time. We started to talk about our journey & trying to come to terms with this disease. We kept in contact but I had not heard from him for a few months, I was worried. When I saw his death notice, I cried for him, as he was determined to do all he could to stay here.
He was very kind, gentle, smart & at times vulnerable. This world is a poorer place without him here 🙏
Shane, I pray you are at peace now.

I'm so sad that Shane has gone.

My sincerest sympathies with the O’Donnell family. I’m so saddened to hear of Shane’s passing, we were great friends during his time in college in Waterford. I’ll never forget the fabulous trip we took to Achill with Shane in the mid-nineties. We had some great times. May He Rest In Peace.

Shane was a great friend and a fantastic Bodhran player, we enjoyed many sessions and festivals playing music together back the years when we went to college in Waterford together.
