I have known Peter for over 40 years but sadly only met Sharon twice. My wife and I were both struck by the extraordinary strength that Sharon showed facing such a terrible illness and we instinctively felt Sharon would become a close friend.
Time proved us wrong.
Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to you Peter and we will see you later this year.

I’m so saddened to hear about the loss of Sharon.
I met Sharon when attending one of her courses and meeting her was really life changing, she set me on a path I would have never set myself on. I will always be incredibly grateful to her.
Sending my thoughts to her family and friends who I have no doubt will miss her deeply.

Yesterday Sharon and Peter would have been celebrating 16 years of happy marriage. They were so in tune with each other and their love shone.
Peter introduced Sharon to Chris and me in the early days of their relationship in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the millennium. Sharon was teaching full time and was also studying Interior Design, preparing to change the direction of her career. We had a mutual interest in Interior Design and I remember her unique style, full of colour, an added touch of quirkiness and she was always passionate about her work.
They moved to Dubai and eventually to Ireland and our friendship followed each other. Sharon was a half cup full lady, always seeing the positive in any situation, she was great company, vibrant, happy and fun to be with. She and Peter were a perfect match.
When we heard that Sharon had been diagnosed with cancer, we knew that she would fight this disease every inch of the way, supported by Peter and Sharon’s Army.
She was a brave warrior and overcame the disease for a time to appreciate every single day that she was given.
Peter and Sharon’s family and friends have lovely memories of a lady who knew how to enjoy life, to share her joy and love ….and we will miss her. 💓

I only met Sharon a few times after her wedding to Peter in Athlone and each time it was her lovely smile that made me feel very comfortable and in the presence of a special person. Sharon had that wonderful gift and will be missed by all who knew her. Xx

Sharon came into our lives with an enormous amount of energy, creativity and passion for her work. She was professional in every way but most importantly it was her patience and humanity that touched me most. Over the years seeing her love for life and everyone around her was inspirational. An immensely kind and generous person, all she ever wanted was the best for others.

I am so sad to hear of Sharon's passing. I spent 4 years at UCD with Sharon and a year sharing an apartement in the Seychelles, Sharon was one of a kind. Always full of colour and smiles with a twinkle in her eyes.
