Condolence to family and friends….. You always be in our hearts ❤️ 💔💔💔
I only knew Shaun through Parklife. I remembered when that abandoned corner unit, the former dentist’s office, finally got a facelift. Shaun and Carrie took a chance, ripped out walls and began to build something. I was a customer for years, seeing Shaun nearly every day. We chatted about everything. Life, love, passions and comedy. I’ll remember Shaun as someone who loved sharing comedy. You’d walk in at any time and he’d be in the throes of a Simpsons quote, or his Ace Ventura impression.

Shaun could thaw people with humour and warmth. He was interested, he was encouraging, he had a knack for recalling the little things. He’d a gift for finding connections. He’d insist on you taking home the extra bread or giving you a free coffee for your birthday. He’d buzz as he described the new addition to the menu or his plan for his year’s Crambo. He wanted the space to be a meeting place. It was a refuge. The staff, the customers, the routine, the vibes. More than a coffee shop, over the months and years they had built a community. And our community mourns Shaun.

I’m truly heatbroken for Carrie and Bodhi, the wider families and the staff past and present who thought the world of Shaun. You're in my heart everyday as I pass the corner unit. RIP Shaun.
I wanted to send my condolences to Shaun's friends and family. Shaun was my manager years ago in Office, and we still talk about him often, and so fondly. He was such a lovely person and such good craic to work with and be around. May He Rest in Peace x
Deepest condolences to all Shaun's loved ones. I worked with Shaun in Rascals - he was a lovely, genuine person who would talk to anyone, and always great craic to be around. May his memory be a blessing x
Shaun was a true gentleman. Always had time for a chat and was so kind to all he met. The last time I saw him he was rescuing a stray dog.
He is so badly missed in our community.
Our sincere condolences to Shaun's family and friends.

We wanted to leave a message here to let his family know how much he was appreciated and record some of the kind things Shaun did in the short time we knew him.

In the early days of the cafe, I remember Shaun trying to give me free pastries, I went into the cafe to get a coffee and he could see I was sad after dropping my crying boy to school, he was like have a pastry, have two! haha

More recently, he would always have a chat with my 8 year old son when he came in. He would sit down with him and they would have great chats about school, friends, and my son referred to him as "my friend Shaun".

He was so passionate about having positive impact on the community. He always had a big smile and a joke. He will be truly missed.
Deepest condolences to Shauns family, friends and all the Parklife community.

When we moved to Clogher Rd a few yrs ago, straight away Shaun picked up we were newbies and welcomed us, Parklife really made moving into the area so easy. We quickly became regulars and soon couldn't pass without our dog dragging us over for her Bonio.

We have great memories in Parklife & Darklife, between Shauns blaring music first thing in the morning & the random chats we always left smiling. Also the breakfast bap was a masterpiece :)
Shaun was so kind, funny and just sound, we are so glad we got to know him.
I only knew Shaun from visiting the cafe , which wad multiple times a week as I live right above it. I knew him only 18 months but he is someone I won’t forget.
Anytime anyone would visit me from home , I’d bring them to parklife for the great food and more importantly the craic with Shaun.
For my birthday over the summer we visited “dark life”. Shaun secretly went into spar, bought ingredients and whipped up a birthday dessert for me - had the whole place singing happy birthday. Just a small example of how much he cared about people and wanted them to make everyone around him happy.
The news still hasn’t sank in - my heart goes out to all his family and friends. I hope you find some peace in the coming weeks and months.
Rest in peace , Shaun- we’ll miss you bud.
Reading all the beautiful tributes paid to Shaun, he just sounds like the most wonderful human being. May knowing he was so dearly loved be a comfort to all the family as you grieve your terrible loss, and may Shaun now rest in heavenly peace.
To Shaun's family, we are so so sorry to hear this awful news. Shaun was always incredibly kind to us, I spent my first months postpartum and my whole pregnancy in Parklife!. Shaun helped me when my daughter was crying with colic, then once again when she was throwing a tantrum. He cooked scrambled eggs that weren't on the menu for her, I told him she didn't eat anything else at all. Whenever you are Shaun , your kindness is not forgotten. Sending love to his family, Carrie and his son. Parklife will always be in our hearts. RIP.
Like all the regulars at Parklife, I was lucky enough to experience Shaun's warmth and generosity, but also to witness countless moments of kindness towards other members of the community. One quiet day in the cafe, a lady came in with a young boy and sat near my table - Shaun greeted them warmly (by their names, of course) and asked the young lad how he was doing, only for the boy to say he was having a rough time at school. Shaun stopped and gave him his total attention, and spoke with extraordinary kindness, reassurance and good humour. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, appreciated and valued, in addition to being an incredibly charismatic and funny guy. Simon and the other speakers at the service did Shaun proud, and it was a privilege to get a deeper insight into the life of someone we are so grateful to have known.
Early one Saturday morning, I popped to the Spar beside Parklife to buy milk and was startled to see Shaun burst in with his face covered in white cream. He loudly proclaimed in a Scottish accent to the girl behind the counter: "Helloooooo!!!" He was doing an impression of Mrs. Doubtfire (I imagine a regular occurrence) and was mortified when he saw me. Of course, we had a laugh about it when I was in for lunch later that day.

It's hard to underestimate the joy and sense of community that Shaun brought into my life as a patron of Parklife. I will always cherish the many happy memories he gave us and will miss him dearly. Sending love and condolences to his friends, family and the staff at Parklife.
Condolences to all Shauns friends and family. I didn't know home well but he was always so nice when I called in for a coffee, so I will miss his friendly banter. RIP Shaun
So deeply saddened by the loss of Shaun. We had our baby boy around the same time as Shaun and Carrie. We loved swapping war stories of sleep deprivation in Parklife. I remember Shaun laughing saying Bodhi was nocturnal. He was clearly loving being a dad.

Parklife was such a family-friendly place, full of warmth, great music and incredible food, thanks to Shaun. We loved his veggie fry, I remember how delighted he was when we told him it was the best around. My last memory is getting a crambo sambo from him over Christmas. He really made me laugh that day, he was so pleased when people were enthusiastic about his food. I'm heartbroken now to realise that he was struggling.

Thinking of all who loved Shaun. RIP to a true gent.
Rest in peace Shaun. I will always remember your kindness, your charisma, your big heart and great sense of humour and all the conversations we had about music.
I met Shaun when I first moved to Crumlin looking for ‘casual’ work at a local coffee shop. Shaun and Carrie welcomed me in with open arms and made me feel right at home! Shaun was the best boss a person could have and I regularly went home to my partner and said ‘I’d love to just quit my full time job and work in the coffee shop’ because it was such a lovely place to be and Shaun was a big reason for that! His vibrant personality, his sometimes questionable song choices at 9am on a Saturday morning, his tasty breakfasts, and most importantly the way he cared… he cared about how your week at work went, how you were feeling, what your plans for the future were and everything in between!
When I stopped working there I still regularly went in as a customer and especially recently with my baby since being on maternity leave and Shaun was always there to greet me with a smile on his face and checking in with how baby was doing and how I was coping. He was very open with talking about the highs and lows of parenting and checking in to make sure postpartum depression wasn’t affecting me, how I wish I asked him how he was more often, not just ‘how are you’ but more of a ‘how are you REALLY doing’ as he was always so good at checking in on everyone else, and he cared, you could tell he really truly cared. There’s not a lot of people like Shaun and you can tell that from the outpouring of love.
Shaun I wish you could see how loved you were by so so many people, you were always enough x
Shaun & Parklife came into my life when I was a new mother to tiny twins and had just moved to Crumlin. I will never forget the kindness and warmth Shaun showed me and my family. He obviously loved his son so much. His passing is an absolute tragedy and he will be missed terribly by the Crumlin community. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Shaun, may you rest in peace. You had such a positive impact on so many lives.
To all who love Shaun my deepest sympathies on your great loss. Such a lovely man, we loved going to the cafe and he had great time for our kids. He was so kind to everyone and created a much needed community space on Clogher Road. I hope you have found peace, Shaun. Your connecting energy will continue in others seeing the turnout on your farewell trip.
Shaun brought a special light and warmth to our community, and it is so sad that he is no longer with us. He was such a friendly person, so kind and generous to our son Finn who worked in Parklife for a few years. Our thoughts are with Carrie and Bodhi, his friends and family
My deepest condolences for the Bhuiyan family. I worked with Shaun in Office and have nothing but fond memories. We had plenty of laughs and nights out. Gone too soon. Rest in peace bud x
Many a time, I would have walked into Parklife Cafe for my usual order. On every occasion, a flash of a brightly coloured shirt would zip by and you knew immediately it was Shaun going about his usual business. He was a hugely welcoming and kind gentleman and always made my family and I feel at home in the cafe. He always spoke so highly of his son and how the cafe was doing. You can tell he was incredibly passionate about what he did and helping others. Thank you Shaun for all you have done for the community. You are a rare breed of positivity. RIP Shaun and condolences to the family.
Deeply saddened to learn of Shaun’s passing. He was a huge part of the community and like most ParkLife patrons, I’d many great chats with him over the years - in particular his face always lit up when he was discussing his son Bodhi.

Sending all love to his family, I hope these messages give some sense of how valued he was by the community. He was always very welcoming to everybody coming in through the doors, two or four legged and really added a lot to the local area. Hope he’s at peace now.

Love Sam, Enya and Harry the dog
Sorry to hear this news sending condolences to all his family and friends x
I’m so sorry to hear of Shaun’s sudden passing.
I went to secondary school with Shaun and remember him very fondly. He was a real great guy, always so kind to everybody and was always making jokes and making others smile. It was a real pleasure to be in his company, and he will be greatly missed.

Thinking of all his son, family and friends, during this very difficult time.

May he rest in peace.
I have fond memories of Shaun from secondary school, he was an absolute character, always making everyone laugh, was great for jokes and one liners, I am shocked and saddened too hear the news, thinking of all his family and friends at this incredibly hard time,
May he Rest in Peace
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Shaun’s passing, he was one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, always so friendly and welcoming every time with a smile and giddiness anytime I came in to the cafe whether I was on my own, with friends or family he would always take an interest in our life’s and chat to us and get to know us more personally and vice versa I would always chat away to Shaun about his own life. We used to have great craic around the build up to Christmas to chat about the most popular and best Christmas sambo in Ireland, Shaun used to laugh about how much I would come down to get it, I will miss that yet I’ll always cherish the memories, laughs and chats I shared with him. May he rest in peace and sending my love and condolences to all of Shaun’s family and friends, you’ll be dearly missed pal ❤️
We became friends with Shaun 19 years ago when we were 19, working in Office together. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that spanned many stages of our lives (and Shaun’s hairstyles!), from sharing an apartment in Temple Bar in our twenties, to all becoming parents in our thirties. Shaun shone brighter and warmer than anyone else we know. He went out of his way to build people up around him, and was dripping with empathy. To Fiona, you should be so proud of him, he was truly one of a kind. To Carrie, becoming a dad to Bodhi was the proudest and happiest we have ever seen Shaun. I hope Bodhi can feel the scale of love the world has for his dad. We are thinking of you all in this difficult time.

Rest easy, Shaun. We will miss you dearly. We’ll carry our fond memories with us forever.
Shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Shaun. I was in secondary school with Shaun. He was funny and smart. Shaun had a great personality cracking the jokes in registration.

I worked with Shaun many years ago in Office in Dundrum. I remember Shaun as having a brilliant sense of humour, great fun and very kind.
You dont remember everyone you encounter; but Shaun is someone you would never forget. Just a great person all round.
Sending my condolences to his family.
Sleep well Shaun.
Deepest condolences to all of Shaun’s friends and family at this desperately sad time.

Since moving on to Clogher Road two years ago, coffee from Parklife quickly became one of our favourite, almost daily, rituals together. The day never seems so bad when it is started with a beautiful coffee first.

Shaun would often be the first person I’d talk to in the morning and I often used to be nearly surprised by his good humour and genuine interest. It’s rare in life that you meet people who radiate openness and warmth in the way he did, particularly first thing in the morning… You could really feel his love of people and of connecting with others.

Thank you for all the coffees Shaun. And thank you for trying to make the lives of those around you a little bit brighter. You certainly brightened ours.

Ar Dheis Dè go raibh a anam 🕊️
Heartfelt condolences Shaun’s mum Fiona, brothers Shujan and Simon, his most cherished son Bodhi and Bodhi's mum Carrie.

I really enjoyed going to Parklife a few times a week. Shaun always made us feel so welcomed.

Wherever a beautiful soul has been
There is a trail of beautiful memories

Rest in Peace Shaun
Sending my deepest condolences to shauns family 💔 he was such a kind person and a true gentleman. Sleep tight shaun xx
Shaun was much loved by all of the Clogher Road Community College - staff and students alike. He was a great advocate for the students and they knew that and really enjoyed his bright personality and support he offered. Parklife has almost become an extension of our staffroom - offering a great sense of community and a moment to take a break in busy days - all of this created by Shaun's warm and caring personality. We really miss him and we hope he knew how important he was and is to us in Clogher Road CC.

Le comhbhrón ó chroí, our deepest sympathies on Shaun's passing. Our family went on our first outing with our newborn little girl to Parklife, and visited it many times since. Shaun, Carrie, and staff were so welcoming, sound and lovely. One day stuck in the park in the freezing, lashing rain he let me and baby in when he was closing up, listening to the Smiths. The kindness and compassion in him was so clear. I hope he knew that he was a special, good person. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam, love and strength to his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Shaun's family and many friends on your unimaginable loss.
When I'd walk in the door of Parklife over the past six months of my maternity leave with my baby girl, Shaun would acknowledge us and then run and wash his hands, so he could hold her and let me enjoy my lunch. She adored him launching her gently into the air, and I loved hearing him rave about his little Bodhi.
Such a kind, generous soul who made us feel very special at a vulnerable time. Thank you Shaun. Rest in peace.
I met Shaun briefly in December. It was cold and miserable and I was outside ParkLife with two screaming babies. He ushered me in and provided free entertainment to one baby while I fed the other. He told me about his son. I was looking forward to popping in again. I was touched by his kindness. My sympathies to his loved ones. He was clearly one of a kind.

Sending all my love to Carrie, his beautiful son Bodhi and all his family at this very sad time.

Rest in Peace Shaun. Truly devastated. The cafe was so needed and welcomed down this end of Crumlin and you were always so welcoming of everyone who came through the doors young and old. Always time for a hello or chat no matter how busy you were. Always made me smile when you'd know my exact order without me having to ask :) My kids remembered you as the guy who wore the colourful shirts :)
