Shaun Murphy

I knew Shaun back in the day when we were all young, strong and full of the fire that a travelling life brought to your heart and soul. Was so chuffed to find him on social media after I succumbed to joining Facebook in last couple of years and be able to banter back and forth and share memories and comment on photos posted. Along with others, he made that life feel like it wasn't so far away after all. Shock then to find he is gone and seems to have taken a small part of my youth with him. Wishing his soul peace, I won't forget him, he is missed.

Hello Sharon and family, my deepest feelings and thoughts are with you all. Please feel my empathy and hugs which I give to you from the depth of my heart.

First met Shaun in Oxford 1990 and soon became good friends, for a good few years we lived out of each others pockets, scrapping metal, hatting for me as a busker, giro day lol, he was always kind, rarely losing his temper and always a safe man to have in your hood,
We kept in touch over the years when he moved to Ireland, visiting my family in Tuam in 2012, my dad and Shaun were like two peas in a pod, dad been a great conversationalist they spoke at great length, lol god only knows what about,

It was a smack in the face hearing of his sudden death, feels like I’ve lost apart of my younger me,
I’ll miss his friendship and that smile on his face,
Loves and hugs to Cori, Sharon and the family,

I was so very sad to hear that Shaun had passed away unexpectedly. He and I hadn't seen each other for a long time but we kept in regular contact via social media. Deepest condolences to all his family and to everyone who knew and loved him. xx
