Shaun Wallace

Have been reading the condolences posted for shaun. I do not know him or any of his family. From the very complimentary condolences about him i am sure the world has lost a good decent human being but Heavan has gained an Angel. R. I. P.

Sympathy to the family of the late Shaun Wallace, who briefly crossed my path when he was considering writing an article about his life and times. It was a fleeting half an hour discussion; however, during that meeting realised here was a young man with a love of literature and poetry. Shaun wasn't boasting about his ability in this regard; it was easy to gather he a deep thinker. Although, I don't know any of you personally, I wish to express my sadness at your loss; thoughts are with Shaun's sons Kial and Conor, his father Paul, mother Roislin, brother Karl, sister Karen, Caren, extended family circle and friends at this most difficult of times. May the precious memories of your Shaun inspire and comfort all of you.

Haven’t seen Shaun for many years, but fondly remember times in our early 20s and what a lovely, genuine bloke he was. Love to Caren and the boys (men).

Will miss our conversations and a good laugh. You had it tough but your always were smiling and never left any of our talks without a smile on your face. Rest in peace.

Shaun saved my life: I can say with total confidence that if he hadn't been there I would have died by drowning in my late 20s. And again he was there for me when I took an overdose, and again when I had my first epileptic fit. He supported me throughout all that. His son was so so right when he said Shaun impacted many lives; more than he ever knew. I will not claim to have been one of Shaun's close and lasting friends, but he made a big big impact on me. He had intelligence, thoughtfulness, kindness, a quick and hilarious sense of humour. Being unable to speak to him now is intensely painful. Goodbye Shaun.

So sad to hear that Shaun is no longer here making a difference to peoples lives, I was so lucky to have known Shaun many years ago when I was friends with his sister Karen . He has always had a special place in my heart, he once gave me two books which he wrote an inscription in the cover of each of them, I still have those books and when I have had some tough times to get through I would read those inscriptions and gain strength from his words. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time. I have never forgotten him in all these years and I never will, Rest in peace Shaun I am sure you will remain in the hearts of those whose lives you have touched.

Really saddened when I heard the news and my sympathy goes out to Shaun's family. He was the first 'New Romantic' I knew and have so many fond memories of him. We formed the political party the RWAB when we were both politically very naïve, dyeing the school swimming pool purple and Shaun wheelieing down Bottesdale high street on his motorbike (perhaps my favourite). A big part of my teenage years and my life was richer for it x

Semper Fidelis Saun. You were an inspiration for Marines with the work that you did for them.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Having only met Shaun a few times in the early eighties and sold him a Cortina, I cannot claim to be a friend, yet he left a lasting impression on me. Initially he struck me as confident and strong, yet upon talking to him, he was kind, engaging, very quick and genuinely listened. We have all changed and see things from different viewpoints but I remember that young man and I liked him very much.

Boy Shaunie, I will always remember the time we spent together. So sad. May you rest in peace. My heart goes out to your boys. Thank you for being my friend x
