Sorry to hear of Shay's passing. I had the privilege of having my hair cut by him 15-20 years ago when I was working in Loughrea. I have fond memories of his jolly personality and character.

The poem his family have chosen wonderfully reflects Shays sharp sense of humour. I also met Shay properly in PRV and enjoyed many a good chat and great craic! He was a good friend and “minder” to my Dad Martin and you will be sorely missed Rest Easy Shay x

So sad to hear of Shay's death. He was a lovely man, a 'gas character', very witty and funny, but yet so kind and wise. He always had a story to share when you would meet him.
