Very saddened to read this notice. Lovely memories of 'The Sound of Music' a few doors away from our shop. An absolute gentleman, and a character. Always so friendly and always had a word for everyone. We often got special treatment at some of the Mike Denver concerts... we put up a request for my Mother Kathleen once and Shay made sure Mike called it out.....of course i now realise it wasn't just the Toome Connection but of course Kilruane !!

My apologies for not coming to the removal or funeral, as you probably know my own dad went around a week before Shay and I just couldn't face another funeral home. Shay was a legend, a man who would always put a smile on your face and as David said in his eulogy, he was cool. Possibly one of the coolest people in the entertainment business. I'm going to miss meeting up with him and having the chats. He was a fantastic person guys and he will be badly missed. I am so sorry for your loss and my sincere condolences to you all.
