It's such a sad loss. Shay has gone too soon. He was such a fine man, always beeing friendly, humorous, full of ideas, hard-working, he loved sports so much and he cared a lot about his loved ones.
I always will miss Shay very sadly.

RIP my dear friend Shay Walsh You will be missed. Not a day goes bye wishing we could talk and have the crack again. You will never be forgotten, the great man that you were. Someday we will meet again.

Doesn’t matter what age you are, you always need them, and you guys have lost both of them in your young days when you were needed of them the most. Shay and Lisa were great kind souls . You guys lost your parents and a-lot of people like us lost a best man and good kind friend. People coming and going but the gap is never filled up . Keep united mark and James, and keep strong.

So sad to hear about Shay’s illness and now his passing.

It’s a great mark of someone that you always leave their company with a smile on your face.

Lots of people knew Shay better than I did, but I had great craic with him over the years…always met at Kildare matches and we had many passionate discussions (over pints sometimes) about the health of Kildare football!
I also experienced his great kindness on at least one occasion.

There are very few genuine “characters” left and one fewer now with Shay’s passing.

So sad but what happy memories.
