Dear Martin and Brendan, our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your mother Sheila. We had lovely visits to her in Clonbur and Galway when John was visiting, and the annual arrival of her unique Christmas card was always appreciated. May she rest in peace.
Dear Martin and Brendan - sincere condolences. It was a great privilege to have known your mother - an amazing and talented lady; courageous and strong of will and character, warmth and charm, with a rich history reaching bact to the Himalayan foothills. So fitting that her body will rest close to the beautiful house that you built for her in Clonbur.
Whenever I visit Devon, I call at Buckfast Abbey to pay prayerful respect at your brother, John's grave - a great friend I still miss very much. May they rest now in peace together, in the house of our loving God. I will offer Mass for the repose of her soul.
God bless you. Anthony Pennicott, - Dorset.
Sincerest sympathies to Martin & Brendan on the passing of your beautiful mother Sheila.
Sincere sympathy to Martin and Brendan on the passing of a lovely lady.May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Our sincerest condolences to Martin and Brendan and the broader Crouchen family. Sheila was a great and enthusiastic customer of the bookshop for many years and it was always a delight to see her coming in the door. Her engaged appetite for life and her positivity and lively spirit was a great tonic to all who met her, however fleetingly. Her love of reading and the joy she found in her painting never left her and she was invariably a pleasure to deal with. May Sheila's soul rest in peace. From everyone in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop in Middle Street.
Brendan, Martin and Crouchen family, I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed chatting with your mum when I was home from Chicago. Sheila was a breath of fresh air to Bowling Green, age was not an issue, she walked around the block each evening rain or shine always stopped to look at the garden and a kind word with a smile! She saw the best in life!
Deepest sympathy to all Sheila's family on her passing Rest in peace

I have very fond memories of the times I spent with Sheila. I will always remember learning to paint water colours wither her when I was around 6/7 years old - we were sat under the willow tree in Granny and Grandpa’s garden in Heronsgate (which she referred to as the “big green tent” - a name I always loved). We also have some of her paintings hanging in our house in Frome and looking at them always reminds me of that lovely afternoon we spent painting together. She had so many wonderful stories and such a warm presence. She will be greatly missed - sending love to you all x
