Sincere sympathy to Ms.Dillon's family, friends and former colleagues. I was a student of SHM from 1983-1988, when Ms. Dillon was Vice-Principal. She, along with her incredibly dedicated colleagues, inspired me to become a secondary school teacher. I encourage my students to set high standards for themselves in all aspects of their lives, just as Ms. Dillon always did. May she rest in peace.

I remember her early days teaching in Ferrybank when she cycled to school and left her bike in the National School yard where I was a pupil at that time and then as our great Maths teacher. She was interested in every pupil. May she rest in Peace.

Sincerest sympathies to all of Miss Dillon's family. She was my maths teacher in S.H.M. Ferrybank, 69/74. Yes, she would put the fear of God in you but was a marvellous teacher. Her niece, Carmel, was in my class. I remember Miss Dillon telling me that she used to stop in Clonmel on her way home every weekend to get bread in Hickey's bakery. May she R.I.P.

So sad to hear of the passing of ‘Miss Dillon’. I was a great admirer of her in Ferrybank,both as a maths teacher and a role model, and 60 years later,I still refer to some of the ‘life’ advice she gave me. She was an inspiration and though she could terrify us with one of her looks, she was always fair and kind. My sincere sympathy to Cora, who was very helpful when I tried to make contact with Sheila in recent years. May Miss Dillon rest in peace. From a Ferrybank boarder in the 1960s.
