I am a Ballagh exile living on the east coast for more than 50 years. I like to keep in touch with my own people, even though most I knew are resting with my parents in Kilcolman. This morning I watched the funeral mass for your beloved mother and was riveted by the quality of the eulogies delivered by her son and grandson. I have never heard or witnessed better. The love was leaping from my computer screen. Such wonderful anecdotes that painted a picture of a truly remarkable mother and granny. Would that I could have had the privilege of enjoying the friendship of this marvellous human being. You don't know me but I do not want to let the day pass without extending my sympathy to all of you. My mother was an NT in the Convent NS and my father an insurance agent in the town.
