Sincere sympathy to the O'Flynn, Duggan, and extended families on the sad passing of Sheila. Mort and Sheila always called to Jacks Bar on their trips to Barley Hill and Rowels. We got to know Sheila through Pat Joe her brother rip who was a great friend of our family. Sheila was always such a delight to meet. Always a good story to tell about the friends she grew up with before she went to England. Sorry that we could not make the funeral. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

My condolences to Sheila’s family. ‘Sheila next door’ was a constant in my life growing up in Nova Court. I have lovely memories of when she would regularly invite me over and we baked queen cakes together, although she never disclosed her famous lemon cake recipe! We always looked forward to the days when Sheila would pop round for a chat and drop over mince pies and her lemon cake. She was such a kind hearted woman, we will never forget her. May she rest in peace xx

35 years ago, as a young mother, living in a new area and generally feeling lost and overwhelmed, I met Sheila.
She was working in SuperValue in Carrigaline and met me each time I went in, with a lovely smile a cheery hello and ‘how are you’ ? She always acknowledged my baby boy and I felt like she really cared. Even though she never knew my name, she really made a difference to me as a new mother.
So, thank you Sheila and May you rest in eternal peace
