I'm so sad to hear of Sheila's passing. My late mum and aunt worked with her in St. Raphael's back in the day. Her late husband Mick was our bus conductor many moons ago going to school. We were scared of our lives of him. On boarding the bus each morning he used catch us by the back of our collars and direct us to our seats giving out. 😁🤣 He knew how to keep us quiet on the journey to Midleton.😄...When he found out my mum and her family were from Ballingeary/Ballyvourney/Coolea and knew Sheila, he met me with smiles every morning, and years later when I married his colleague a bus driver, sure I was like Royalty to him....
The odd time I met Sheila back then she enjoyed that story and I can still hear her laugh....I'm sure they all have plenty to talk about reunited in heaven. May Sheila and all gone before her rest in eternal peace. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and neighbours on the loss of a fine, gentle woman....RIP

Sincere sympathies to Annie, Margaret and Michael on Sheila's passing. Growing up as Sheila's next door neighbours during the sixties seventies and eighties was an absolute pleasure. She was the best type of neighbour kind, friendly, helpful and thoughtful forever unassuming .
I always remember every Christmas Sheila dropping the bottle of Ballingeary poitín to our house which was very good for any aches and pains.
Her Christmas cakes which she gave to us every year I believe was laced with Liberal amounts of same.
Sheila was the very last of that Friar Street generation and was a lady through and through. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

My memories of sheila are been next-door neighbours to my lovely cousin of Helen David and John loughman and there dad jack and mom nan .All happy neighbours in friar street.
